Recent Work
Symbols and colours infuse the work of Ross Gash. Using his camera as a tool, he attempts to capture not only images, forms and colours but also their essence, by seizing the "invisible" details of nature. "Through the lens, I am able to closely enter into nature more than I can by simply observing. I wish my paintings to become theatre scenes played out in a restricted space".
Trees, forests and undergrowth become more than vegetal structures: as with the Australian aborigines, they become the guardians, spirits, totems, imbued with a singular life.
